About Our Certified Moisture Testing: Our Company Philosophy
Tennessee Building Inspections was established in 1989 to fill the need for experienced, objective assessments of residential and commercial buildings. Our mission is to offer an honest, unbiased, data-backed evaluation issues that exist in a building.
All Tennessee Building Inspections inspectors are trained and licensed by the Exterior Design Institute (EDI), a non-profit organization established to promote quality control and standards within the industry. EDI trains and certifies Building Envelope, Stucco, and Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS) application inspectors, along with Moisture Testing Inspection and Analysts. Tennessee Building Inspections is also a certified inspection company for Moisture Free Warranty, a for-profit organization that provides warranties for home repair and remediation work.
Misleading or overstated moisture reports are a serious problem to homeowners and can cause unnecessary repairs and can delay the sale of a home. To provide our customers with the most accurate evaluation possible, we only uses state-of-the-art testing equipment including protimeters, wet wall scanners, infrared cameras, borescopes, and structural resistance testers. Using this equipment and approved techniques, our inspectors assess moisture levels and verify any suspected damage to the home's wood structure. Part of this damage assessment is made by the inspector's “unseen feel” of the structural wood, which is only learned through extensive experience and proper training.
Each of our clients are provided with a detailed written report that includes a list of the home elements that were tested, the moisture levels found at those specific locations, and details about any damage to structural elements.
At Tennessee Building Inspections, we strive to be the best in the industry. We want you to feel confident that our moisture intrusion assessment is thorough, accurate, and objective. We hope you tell your friends and neighbors about our services. On behalf of everyone at Tennessee Building Inspections, we look forward to being of service to you today, and in the future
